AXI-006 · Persistence · post B of three

What leaves and what arrives

Eight blocks, one post. The same identities as the study page, scored for this post; the block this page lacks has left, the one it adds has arrived.edition · time is stopped at the midpoint · same names, a different score

Post B

Persistence is identity, not position. The sky that left the page at post A is back as this page's hero, and the mint that was the hero there is gone. Every other block is the same block it was — the same name in the stylesheet — and morphed here from wherever it stood on the page you came from, which need not have been post A. Arrive from the study page, from post C, or from post A, and the readout will name a different set of travellers each time.

An exit sinks and an entrance rises, on the same curve and at the same 400 milliseconds as assembly in AXI-001 and the nursery in AXI-011, because they are the same events: a block joining or leaving a composition. A morph is neither; it is membership — this block is that block — and it is the one motion the plan reserves for the View Transitions API. The rest of the page crossfades and stays out of the way.
